The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service point established for intervention status sassa activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
